Jan Ebert and Founding Fathers Celebrated at Elmira Golf Club

“Fear not: ‘tis but a game we play.”

These are the words that welcome every golfer to the first tee here at Elmira. These are the world that are printed on the plaque dedicated to Jan Ebert. Also on the plaque that memorializes the long-time Elmira member are the words “Cherish her memory”. This is exactly what 12 female members are doing on Saturday in the Jan Ebert Summer Classic. Joining the ladies are the 32 men playing in the Founding Fathers tournament. This tournament is a tribute to founding members of Elmira 51 years ago. In fact, the tournament is taking place just one day before Elmira Golf Club’s 51st birthday on Sunday. Come out Sunday and celebrate with us! Tee Times still available.
